Washed Wool #048 - BFL/Romney Cross

This is a washed Bluefaced Leicester and Romney cross fleece, mostly creamy white with patches of grey and brown, and some hay still tucked inside.

Best Uses
This fleece asks a little more of you, and it's a great pick if you enjoy the prep. Comb or card it and blend the colors together, use it for felting, or spin a textured yarn for woven wall hangings, baskets and other decorative projects where a little hay won't matter. You could also sort the white from the darker patches for two different looks.

Working Notes
Plan on picking and carding or combing before you spin, since there's still hay in the fleece. BFL brings softness and shine, and Romney adds body and a bit of bounce. Once it's prepped, it drafts easily and makes a soft, durable yarn.
