Best Uses
This one is ready for spinning, with very little picking needed. Spin the two coats together for a warm, rustic yarn, or separate them and use the soft undercoat for lighter, finer work. The brown strands add a little natural character to whatever you make.

Working Notes
Icelandic has two coats, a long, shiny outer coat (tog) and a soft, fluffy undercoat (thel). You can comb them apart or spin them together. It drafts easily and makes a light, warm yarn, which is why it's a favorite for sweaters.
