Best Uses
This one is ready for spinning, with very little picking needed. Spin the two coats together for a warm, rustic yarn full of natural color, or separate them and use the soft grey undercoat for lighter, finer work. The long brown locks are lovely on their own for adding texture and color to art yarn.

Working Notes
Icelandic has two coats, a long, shiny outer coat (tog) and a soft, fluffy undercoat (thel). You can comb them apart or spin them together. It drafts easily and makes a light, warm yarn, which is why it's a favorite for sweaters.
