Every year, a little Christmas village goes up under our tree, with tiny houses, tiny people and snow that never melts. At night, with all the windows lit, it's my favorite spot in the house.

One braid is a crisp gradient of icy blues, from frosted sky to frozen lake to twilight shadow. The other glows in ember red, hearth orange and golden lamplight, like the windows of every little house.

The two 2 oz braids were designed to be plied together into one 4 oz yarn. Turn the lights down low and spin a little magic.
