Farm Yarn - Pickerel Gleam

Pickerel Gleam is the shimmer on pond water just before dusk.  A cool, moody blue with a hint of twilight stillness. Dyed over a naturally grey base, the tone deepens into something dusky and layered, like reflections rippling over submerged leaves. It has the hush of fading light, the flicker of movement below the surface, and the quiet clarity that lives at the edge of things. Not quite stormy, not quite bright, just a moment of blue that holds everything still.

Each skein is DK weight, 300 yards, and spun from 100% Border Leicester wool raised at Yankee Rock Farm. The fleece’s soft halo and natural loft give structure and texture to this shadowed hue, while the grey base yarn adds depth and complexity that can’t be replicated on white.
