Farm Yarn - Mycena Lumen

Mycena Lumen is spun from forest moonlight and fairy-ring silence.  A pale lilac softened by shadow, like the flicker of light from a bioluminescent mushroom under damp leaves. Dyed over naturally grey wool, this purple carries a gentle, luminous depth that’s never flat or sugary. It feels delicate without fragility, glowing quietly like something half-remembered from a dream. A soft, whispery tone with just enough mood to ground it in the wild.

Each skein is DK weight, 300 yards, and made from 100% Border Leicester wool, raised by Siri at Yankee Rock Farm and dyed by Sarah at Green Goat Ranch. The grey base gives the lilac hue a layered, silvery character, less candy and more moonlit grove. Border Leicester’s soft structure and woolly halo make it a joy to work with, especially in projects that want movement and texture. Mycena Lumen adds a breath of light to the Fungus and Frogs collection, rounding out the palette with a note of wonder and stillness. It’s the final glow before the woods go quiet.
