There are no sidelines under the Empire. One Way Out is the moment of reckoning—the realization that survival without resistance is submission. Inspired by Kino Loy’s unforgettable speech in the Narkina prison, this plying pair speaks to every worker, every bystander, every person who thought they could keep their head down and avoid the consequences. It’s a fiber portrait of transformation: of silence giving way to solidarity, and fear erupting into defiance. Because when there’s no way out... you build one.
The first braid is a stark gradient of imperial concrete to sterilite white, echoing the cold, controlled interiors of the prison walls—the illusion of order, stripped of hope. The second braid is a chaotic mix of signal white and riot ember, pulling from the prisoner uniforms: sterile at first glance, but glowing with the fire of rebellion underneath. Spun together, these Rambouillet wool braids form a yarn that carries tension and release in every twist. It’s not just about escape—it’s about refusing to be complicit.
